Plankinton freshman students will be attending Freshman Impact: Caught in the Moment program offered through Hanson High School in cooperation with local law enforcement/ fire/medical departments. The Freshman Impact®: Caught in the Moment is a one-day alcohol and drug prevention program. Through hands-on activities, demonstrations, and presentations, our students will have the opportunity to gain accurate information and develop skills in dealing with negative peer pressure, bullying, and other teenage issues. Some of this year’s topics include Drugs & Alcohol on the Brain, Teen Mental Health, Healthy Relationships, Seatbelt Safety & Internet Safety/Cyberbullying, and more. The Freshman class will leave the Plankinton School at 7:20 am on Wednesday, September 15th to arrive and check in at the Hansen School before 8 am.
