Yesterday, our Careers class had the opportunity to welcome the South Dakota Highway Patrol! They shared insights into their careers, including the challenges, rewards, and ups and downs of the job. Their visit sparked interest among our students and gave them a better understanding of the opportunities available in law enforcement.
A big thank-you to the South Dakota Highway Patrol for taking the time to visit our classroom and for everything they do to keep our communities and state safe. We appreciate your service, dedication, and commitment to protecting others! 🇺🇸
Thank you for making a positive impact on our students and our community!

🎃🍂 We had another fun and busy week in 2nd grade!
•We finished our gourd monsters, and they turned out so cute and creative!
•We took our math learning outside and enjoyed doing math with sidewalk chalk!
•In science, we investigated the mystery of why bees spend so much time in and around flowers. Students created models to mimic how animals pollinate plants and learned how bees help flowers grow and thrive!
•We also started an exciting pumpkin science experiment! We are observing the process of decomposition and regeneration by watching what happens to our pumpkins over time and seeing if we can grow a new pumpkin plant. We will continue to observe, document, and record our findings as our experiment progresses!
We love learning, creating, and exploring together! Have a wonderful weekend!
