Fifth grade wrapped up our "Earth and Space Patterns" unit in Science. Throughout this unit, fifth graders studied the brightness of stars, Earth's rotation and shadow patterns, seasonal constellations and Earth's orbit, as well as the moon phases. Here's a few photos of the hands on learning we enjoyed throughout this unit!

The eighth grade science class has been learning about atoms, elements, molecules, compounds, and bonds. They were given the molecule of propane and had to research its chemical formula, its atom total, and a model of its atom arrangement. They then created a 3D model of it using different candies as the atoms and skewers as the bonds.

OVERWHELMING SUCCESS!! Many thanks to those who attended the 6-8 MWA sponsored dance on Friday night. Lots of fun was had by all attendees. To those who donated snacks and drinks; to Ms. DeGeest for helping to chaperone; to your middles school event planners - Izzy Briggs; Claire Hill and Kenzie Davis; to Mrs. Victor for being our go to; and especially; to Brad and Amber Green of The Green Strings for the music — we thank you all for your support. Hopefully there can be more events like this in the future.

This year PHS Drama will be presenting Brian D Taylor's play "The Murder Mystery at the Murder Mystery." A group of actors are having a rough dress rehearsal for their upcoming play. Cues keep getting missed, lines are being dropped, oh and every time the group acts out the big death scene, someone in real life dies! As the crew tries to unravel the mystery, they are left with more questions than answers. Come and see our show on Monday, November 25th at 6:30pm. Tickets are $20 and include a full-service meal provided by Plankinton's FCCLA members.
