Community Members,
The Plankinton School District has secured the services of Dakota Education Consulting to conduct a survey
to assist the district with the development of goals for the future of the school. The first step in this process
is to conduct an anonymous survey of these groups: faculty/staff, parents, community members, and
students. You are asked to provide honest responses to the survey questions. Those responses will help to
improve the district operations and set goals for the future. The results will then be tabulated and shared
with focus groups. After those sessions, goals will be developed, and an action plan will be designed for future
implementation.
Your participation is critical, and remember, your responses are confidential.
Thank you in advance for your participation.

If you currently have students attending the Plankinton School District, please go to the Parent Survey link and complete that one instead of the Community Survey.

Congratulations to our Junior High POWER Student of the Month for November. Students are nominated for exemplifying/practicing the POWER expectations. Olivia was nominated for caring about the work she does and making sure she fixes any mistakes that she might make. She is respectful enough when to joke around and when to take things seriously. Olivia shows responsibility by always listening to directions the first time and very rarely has late or missing assignments.

More gymnastic pics!

I had so much fun cheering on two of my second graders at the gymnastics meet this weekend. Haven and Hanley did such a great job!

The Workplace Technology class put their "Canva" skills to work by editing photos for a hilarious Thanksgiving edit!

The Plankinton Drama department presents "Here Comes the Cows" by Tim Kelly tonight at 6:30! Moooooooooo!

The preschool class has been busy with various Fall and Thanksgiving art projects! These are more about the process than the finished product and encourage them to work on fine motor skills, a very important preschool skill! Happy Thanksgiving!

Fifth graders have been working hard in their first year of band! Now that they have several lessons "under their belt" they have earned their first reward in Mr. Stoebner's reward system- their "White Belt" of band. Good work, kids!!

Fourth grade has been doing a STEAM (science technology engineering art math) this week about ice cream. Students read the science behind making ice cream and used technology to research about ice cream. Today, they became engineers by using physical changes to turn ingredients into ice cream, which of course were enjoyed after with toppings!

Second grade has been doing "Pop-tastic" Work in Happy Numbers and were rewarded with some popping candy. They are bursting with lots of new math facts!

The Plankinton library and elementary students appreciated Veteran Tara Bush coming in to read and answer questions about her time serving in the Army. Thank you Tara 🇺🇸
