
Congratulations to our High School POWER Student of the Month for January. Students are nominated for exemplifying/practicing the POWER expectations Karter brings a positive attitude to class every day. He is a very caring student. He shows ownership when putting tools away he has used and cleaning up. He works together well with others, often lending a hand where needed. He is always respectful towards me and other teachers. He is responsible always bringing what is needed for class and works hard to excel in his school work.


We are looking for old Titan gear. Bring it to the front office. Starting February 4th, Plankinton home games will offer a free-will offering for the gear.

Due to the below zero temps, we are experiencing bus challenges this morning. The Plankinton School District will have a 2 hour late start today, Tuesday, January 14. This will allow us time to resolve those challenges. There will be no breakfast served this morning.

The seventh grade science has been learning about using relative dating to describe the ages of rock layers to learn about the past. They used clay to model different layers of rock, which can tell scientists about the environments from millions of years ago based on rock characteristics.







SD Mines is excited to announce that our 2025 summer camps are now open for registration. STEM day camps for current 8th-12th grade students are faculty-led camps giving students an immersive pre-college experience in subjects like Biomedical Engineering, programming, robotics, geology, and more.

The 8th grade science students returned to school with an activity to recall their knowledge about states of matter. They created oobleck, researched and observed its properties, and concluded its state of matter in a writing.
