Governor Rhoden has proclaimed February 2 - 6 as National School Counseling Week where we celebrate the impact of school counseling services to help students succeed in school and plan their careers. Please consider taking a moment to say “thank you” to your school counselor this week. Thank you Mrs. Johnson for all that you do for Plankinton students!

The juniors are doing a Little Caesars fundraiser for prom! There are many different options - pizza kits that make several pizzas (large and personal), breadsticks, cookie dough, and meal deals. Use the link to place an order and be sure to enter a junior's name that you would like to support! Orders can also be placed in person with a junior using a brochure. Online ordering ends on February 8th. Delivery to the school will be during the week of February 23rd. These can either be picked up or delivered by a junior, and more information will be released closer to that date. Thank you for supporting!

The seventh graders have been learning about chemical equations and how to balance them. They used that to model the chemical reaction of photosynthesis using different candies to represent the reactants and products.

2nd grade had a great week. we learned about different structures and how they are made in science this week! they made their own paper houses focusing on making them tall, then making them strong. we filled up our class reward jar and the students decided they would like to have a stuffed buddy day, and had a lot of fun sharing them with the class. we ended the week with a surprise mystery reader, Mrs. Faulhaber! HUGE thank you to Mrs. Faulhaber! we so enjoyed having you!

The cold weather has once again returned. Please be sure your PK-5 students bring winter gear to school as we are outside for recess unless the windchill is below zero. Snow pants are essential for snow, but they also keep their legs warm on these cold days!
