The 7th SRB group discussed facing challenges and obstacles in order to be successful. They were tasked with three drawing prompts, each which gave more limits and obstacles. Students had to be resourceful and think "outside the box" in order to find strategies.

Parents/Guardians - the online payment system is up and running. You just need to get on your parent portal and follow the directions. Payments can still be made with cash or check to the front office if you would rather do that.

5th grade continued their inventors unit this morning by learning about Marilyn Hamilton, who pushed for the invention of a sleek and fast wheelchair after a hang glider accident left her unable to walk again. This tied in great with our Kindness 101 word- fortitude. We talked about fortitude and Mrs. Olsen's former student who competed at the Paris Paralympics this weekend in para badminton- earning a silver medal in his mixed doubles match as well as beating the Tokyo 2020 gold medalist in his singles match! We enjoyed reading our wheelchair basketball story and a replay of Miles' silver medal match, along with a bit of wheelchair basketball. Go USA! 🇺🇸🥈
