
Congratulations to our High School POWER Student of the Month for November. Students are nominated for exemplifying/practicing the POWER expectations. Hugo demonstrates the POWER expectations in the following ways: Positive - Hugo is positive as he focuses on his work and is willing to help his classmates. Ownership-he has taken ownership of his work and the school expectations. We Work Together - when he has a question or needs assistance, Hugo will ask for help to work through the question or challenge. Empathy - Hugo accepts his peers and will listen to them if they wish to talk to someone. Responsibility - he is on time and ready to work on the task at hand. When given an adult directive, he follows the directive and asks questions, if he has them. Respect - Hugo respects his peers, himself, and the adults he interacts with. He raises his hand to speak and uses appropriate tone and language.

Joana is an exceptional student that continuously strives to be her best self. She pushes herself daily in her academics & enjoys being challenged. She is not satisfied with just doing good and wants to be great! Joana is kind to her classmates and always willing to help others. She is respectful to teachers and the rules set for her in the classroom. Joana is an outstanding student & person.

Congrats to Regina on representing Plankinton at the Elementary Honor Choir concert! The group sounded amazing and you can tell all of the students worked hard to put on an amazing show.



The Elementary Honor Choir and All State Choir took turns performing for each other today! Our Honor Choir concert is today at 3:30 pm and the All State Choir and Orchestra Concert is at 7pm on SDPBS!

Juniors saying boo to drugs this morning


The sixth grade science class has been learning about human body systems. They worked as one large group to create an amusement park modeling six of the systems as games or rides. They also created a portfolio detailing important facts about each system.

As part of Reagan's senior project, she is hosting volleyball workouts for Mount Vernon and Plankinton students in grades 5th-8th. Workouts will be held in Mount Vernon. Contact her if interested!


Another great time with our buddies today! The seventh graders delivered a great lesson on kindness and led the class in a Veteran's Day activity.
