Parents/Guardians - the online payment system is up and running. You just need to get on your parent portal and follow the directions. Payments can still be made with cash or check to the front office if you would rather do that.

5th grade continued their inventors unit this morning by learning about Marilyn Hamilton, who pushed for the invention of a sleek and fast wheelchair after a hang glider accident left her unable to walk again. This tied in great with our Kindness 101 word- fortitude. We talked about fortitude and Mrs. Olsen's former student who competed at the Paris Paralympics this weekend in para badminton- earning a silver medal in his mixed doubles match as well as beating the Tokyo 2020 gold medalist in his singles match! We enjoyed reading our wheelchair basketball story and a replay of Miles' silver medal match, along with a bit of wheelchair basketball. Go USA! 🇺🇸🥈

The 7th graders realized the importance of communication and teamwork during SRB. Students had a version of the game of telephone in groups of 3-4. One member was the "eyes" that viewed a detailed picture. They then relayed their information to another group member, who then communicated this to the artist of the group. Through this students learned the importance of communication, listening, details, and patience.
